Hello everyone!
This mission is absolutely incredible! This past week, I moved to my new area. I'm now serving here in Sandvika - it's been a new experience. It's one of the most wealthy areas in Norway. Elder Jones is my new companion, but we are serving a lot of time in the office purchasing tickets for fellow missionaries to travel around the country. President has told us that we could be travel agents by the time we are done with this calling! The downside is that we are not able to go out to proselyte as much. We still have found good time and have been let into some houses this past week! Those were some very good experiences.
In the coming week, I will be able to attend a baptism of a man that we were teaching quite a bit in Drammen. There was one day that my companion and I felt that we needed to talk to this man. So, we followed him on the street and contacted everyone we could in our following him. We stopped him and told him about how our church is Christ's restored church with apostles and prophets on the Earth again. He later told me that as we were following him, he was thinking why all churches these days are built like businesses, only to get money. He will be baptized on Saturday into Christ's restored church.
There was a woman this past week from my old area in Stavanger - a woman I had the opportunity to teach for a very long time while I was there. This past week she texted me to tell me that she knew that our church was Jesus Christ's church - that the Spirit had made it known to her. It's been absolutely incredible, this whole experience. We work very hard to help all of God's children. When you begin to make a difference, it really feels like the world of blessings are given to you.
I know that this church that I am a missionary for is THE church that Jesus Christ established when He was on the Earth. I am so grateful for my opportunity to make a difference in the lives of Heavenly Father's children. I haven't always been the most perfect individual in my life, but I know I made the perfect decision to serve here in Norway. I love these people and this opportunity - every single minute of it!
